Home School Agreement
At Bedford Drive Primary School, we believe every child is unique and deserves to feel valued, safe and inspired to succeed. We are committed to providing the skills, knowledge and confidence children need for a full and successful life.
We are an inclusive school that welcomes everyone and celebrates the achievements of all.
This agreement reflects our shared commitment to working together in the best interests of our children. It is not legally binding but represents the partnership between school, parents/carers and pupils.
Our aim:
• To create learners for the future, for pupils to believe in themselves and become confident, independent and self-motivated with the necessary basic skills to succeed.
• To work in partnership with parents, staff, governors and the wider community.
• To create a learning environment that is respectful and tolerant of others, instilling traditional values of hard work, good manners and self-discipline.
• To provide a safe and secure environment with a strong, caring ethos, promoting healthy development for all.
• To inspire pupils through an exciting and excellent curriculum that promotes enjoyment and life-long learning.
We believe that a successful partnership between the school, parents/carers and the pupils helps each pupil to take full advantage of all that the School has to offer. This agreement is not legally binding but reflects our shared commitment.

As a school we will:

• Provide work that supports progress and meets pupils’ needs
• Celebrate achievement and effort
• Monitor progress and provide clear feedback
• Set and mark homework in line with the Homework Policy
• Communicate regularly with parents and respond promptly to concerns
• Inform parents of any concerns regarding progress, behaviour or wellbeing
As a parent/carer /we will:
• Support the school’s ethos and values
• Ensure regular attendance and punctuality in line with the Attendance Policy
• Inform the school of any absence promptly
• Support the Behaviour Policy and school expectations
• Attend parents’ consultation meetings
• Ensure homework is completed and returned on time
• Inform the school of any concerns that may affect learning or wellbeing
• Ensure emergency contact details are up to date
• Ensure correct uniform is worn
• Support safe and responsible use of the internet and technology
As a pupil I will:
• Treat others with respect and kindness
• Follow the school rules and Behaviour Policy
• Tell a trusted adult if I am worried or unhappy
• Respect differences in culture, belief and background
• Come to school ready to learn
• Try my best in all that I do
• Complete my classwork and homework
• Represent my school positively
